Child OCI application

I need to apply for OCI for my daughter. A child OCI application requires proof of parents' renunciation if parents are naturalized. However the issue is that the parents' (me and my wife OCI+Renunciation applications are in progress. Therefore we do not have the Renunciation certificate yet. I was thinking that I would attach a letter explaining the situation, along with the BLS Reference Numbers of our Renunciation applications. Anybody here done that before?
