Specific Travel Question Pertaining to OCI Holder

So kind of an interesting situation or maybe not. Had my OCI re-issued because it was stolen. Got processed and is ready for matchup in California. However, I had already planned to come to India beforehand in October. So I had an expedited tourist visa issued and traveled to in India in October. Am currently here. So I am planning on returning to California in a couple of weeks time, back on my tourist visa. I will get my matchup completed to get my OCI once I've returned. Once that is completed I am planning on returning to India a few days after New Years.

My question is, will I be subject to a waiting period where I can't return back to India, because I have traveled on a tourist visa beforehand? Or will it be ok because I will have my OCI when I return?
