Baby travelled on eTV on DEC 12 and rcvd his OCI now. Can he continue stay in INDIA?

My 10 month old travelled to India 3 weeks back on eTV (30 days visa)along with my parents. Since we applied OCI and did not receive it by the time he travelled, we took eTV and sent him.
We got his passport back and did match up OCI and sent back his OCI to India. Can he continue to stay on OCI?. If so, whom should we inform about the status change?
