I have already got the SSN number for my baby and now waiting for birth certificate. Now as soon as I get birth certificate I'll apply for passport.

Kindly let me know is there a option of getting Indian passport sitting here in US itself or for now I just can get US passport ?

If we get Indian Passport for baby, Is there any problem while travelling to India from US? e.g. I-94 missing or no Visa stamp in baby's Indian Passport.

I hope getting Indian Passport makes baby eligible for schooling at par with Indian residents. or is there any chances that US birth certificate will create issues in Indian school & college admission?

Right now we are on H1/H4 visa and I have filed I-485 for me & my family.
we are still not certain that we'll stay here or not but GC in in process (now retrogressed)
If our new baby is born in US and we get Indian Passport for baby then will there be any problem in filing I-485 for baby?, because baby has no H4.

Please correct me if I am missing any imformation on this topic.

As me & my wife are Indian Citizen, our Baby will not qualify for OCI. But will get PIO card in case we want to take US Passport for baby.

If you see the last para in this link, its written that if both parents are Indian citizens and minor child is foreign citizen, the child is not eligible for OCI.

If your child is born in US and if both parents are Indian citizen,
you need to get Indian passport and PIO card for your child. Your child will be considered NRI in India.

You can't get Indian passport for baby and then try to travel to US. It does not work.

No, getting Indian passport does no make baby eligible for schooling at part with Indian residents.

You can't choose best of both worlds.

You can't really get Indian passport for baby if baby intends to travel to USA.

Therefore, filing I-485 is not applicable.
