Confused about Dual Indian citizenship & OCI

Hi ,
I am adjusting thru my wife in USA .I camer in B1/B2 visa.I am from India. I was born in & have been india for 31 yrs now.

I wanted some answers to some queries I have :

a) So Once I have my green card I have to cancel my Indian Passport ?? Till then i have to renew my passport ?

c) With the OCI I can stay for only for lifetime ??

d) In future we have already planned to go back to india............ what to do go back to india and starting living there again.Just apply for OCI ??

e) This may be a silly question but just need to know : In general first a two yr conditional green card is given, then after 2 yrs we have to apply for a unconditional 10 yr green card . So when do i become a permanent resident and Citizen ???

All answers are appreciated.pls help need to know these .

--> Nope. You'll continue using your Indian passport with your GC, as you're still Indian citizen but "only" a resident in the United States.

--> Yes. But that doesn't apply to you until you get US citizenship and THEN get OCI card for India.

--> Yes. You can apply for your OCI in US or in India. However, you need to be US citizen and then only it's applicable to you. If you're a GC holder, then you're still Indian citizen and OCI is not required.

--> Depends on how your GC was filed. You're a permanent resident as soon as you get your first GC, whatever the validity of the same. You file for your US citizenship when you're qualified after you get your GC.
