OCI Renewal Over 50

Hello,
My mom just turned 50 and her canadian passport is still valid for few more years. We are currently planning on renewing her OCI. I was wondering which of the 4 cases this would fit in? I was thinking it might be 2 but just want to double check.

1. In case of issuance of new passport.
2. In case of change of personal particulars viz. name,father’s name,nationality etc.
3. In case of loss/damage of OCI registration certificate/visa.
4. In case of change of address/occupation

OCI renewal is done through the miscellaneous service, but you don't have to renew her OCI until she gets her new passport after turning 50. Reason 1 applies for sure, and 2 and 4 depend on what is changed. Reason 3 doesn't apply unless you lost the OCI. This is what it says in https://www.in.ckgs.us/oci/how-to-apply

For an applicant who is 50 years of age or older, OCI must be RE-ISSUED ONCE after the issuance of a new passport.
