Dear All,
Iam in process of applying for my newborn son's new OCI card.During the same I was told by CKGS that my visa should be valid for atleast 6 months
Iam on H1B and my visa expires 29 Sept 2019.The extension is already applied and I have the receipt.Iam waiting for the approval notice.
Under such circumstances,CKGS informed me that my application would be rejected as I dont have 6 months valid visa and also I have not yet received approval notice for my extension,
Could someone please let me know if anyone has undergone such situation and what are my options?I understand that I can wait for the approval notice but thats fine if its approval.What in case :
- I would need to travel before that,like any emergency? ( even for visa it seems they need approval notice.Else they mentioned that I can write a letter and its up to the embassy)
- Worst possibility in case of rejection what are my options?
