Hi, I am in the process of renewing my Indian passport which is due to expire in couple of months.
My current passport does not have my wife's name. To keep things simple, I didn't select the option of adding spouse name in the CKGS application part. But in the Govt of India online application, it requires to enter spouse name if marital status is mentioned as married. The preview section in the online generated application form from Govt of India website shows spouse name will get added in the new passport. But because I selected in CKGS website that I don't want to add spouse name, the checklist does not mention marriage related documents to sent along with documents.
Will CKGS/US consulate folks mandate marriage documents to be sent because application form has spouse name added.
Has anyone seen this issue and what approach did you take?
