I just submitted applications to NYC CKGS for my two sons -- ages 13 and 10 -- to get re-issued OCI cards as they received new USA passports in March. When the new OCI cards are re-issued, will the consulate cancel and return their old OCI cards or will the consulate keep them? This is the first that I am applying for a re-issue for them so I did not know what to expect. Thank you.

This seemed like a simple, "yes, you get the old OCI card back," or "no, you don't get the old OCI card back" kind of query, so I thought I would bump this up in case someone can quickly respond. Thank you.

Why do you need the old one back ? It's not a passport.
OCI's, when first issued are under a file#. The same number is annotated when a new one is issued.
