GKGS New York - Timelines?

I applied for reissue of india passport for me and my minor kid.

Paid a premium by opting for TATKAL. Selected FedEx option provided by CKGS.

FedEx tracking shows both the packages were delivered 7/29 morning 11 AM.

Three working days have passed and CKGS site still doesnt even show our applications are even RECEIVED!

What a joke of Tatkal. Are they even checking their incoming mail?

I am worried because both our original passports are in those packets and dont want them lost or misplaced.


Any recent experiences with CKGS new york and tatkal timelines? Thanks!

Wow still no update on CKGS website



FedEx Delivered my Tatkal applications (2 separate packets) on Wed 7/29 Morning

As of Mon 8/3 morning CKGS does not even show Recevied!



Are others facing similar timelines with CKGS new york?

Update:

They sat on it for 1 week and then processed it in 1 day. Consulate processed it next day. I have received both passports now. (8/6 and 8/7)

In the end the overall turn around time (8-9 days) is impressive in the middle of a pandemic. Of course I paid extra for tatkal -- but was still doubtful if we will get fast service.

Hope this helps new applicants whu might be looking for some idea of timelines with CKGS new york currently.
