Passport Validity for Travel on OCI

My Son (US Passport holder) currently has a valid OCI and a valid US Passport. His passport expires in August 2022 (so about 3 months validity remaining). We plan to travel to India on June 20th and back to the US on July 23rd. Thus, his passport will be valid at entry and through the duration of the entire stay in India.

Is there a minimum passport validity (6months) requirement for entry to India using OCI? I saw this question answered ambiguously on CGI SF website (https://www.cgisf.gov.in/page/faq-s-on-oci/) so wanted to check if someone had experience with it.
