Process to obtain Power of Attorny

My wife is from India, now US citizen, has OCI. She wants to authorize power of attorney to her brother in India to conclude some property deals on her behalf. Can anyone explain the process of obtaining POA, or point to a reliable link that explains this? We live under the jurisdiction of Chicago Indian Consulate.

She would need to consult an attorney in India about drafting such. Drafting one by US law will likely be worthless in India. One it's prepared, she probably can have her signature attested to at the consulate here.
