  • Health Insurance conundrum

I am a new immigrant to the USA, i received my green card September of this year and it is time to address the issue of health insurance for myself. I married a US Citizen and she is on disability so gets all of her healthcare already paid for by the government.

I am wondering my best options for my own insurance? i am working but employer does not provide help with this... private healthcare plans from what i have seen so far are a conundrum of cat*****phy... i was quoted $200.00 per month plus $5000.00 deductible..... i am interested to know what is the actual expected cost as an average that new green card holders should approximately be paying for healthcare?

i wonder about greencard health insurance and what that actually means? how long is it intended to be used for?

thank you for any input and help in advance, so confused about this truly

If you are eligible to enroll under domestic insurance (private health insurance) you should enroll in that. Medical is very expensive in USA so as well insurance.

The plan you find on our website under new immigrant section are not PPACA (obama compliant plan) and you can continue those insurance until you are eligible to enroll in domestic insurance.

You can purchase International Major medical plan using link below until the end of this year. Please find more information at,
