I am a new immigrant to the USA, i received my green card September of this year and it is time to address the issue of health insurance for myself. I married a US Citizen and she is on disability so gets all of her healthcare already paid for by the government.
I am wondering my best options for my own insurance? i am working but employer does not provide help with this... private healthcare plans from what i have seen so far are a conundrum of cat **** *phy... i was quoted $200.00 per month plus $5000.00 deductible..... i am interested to know what is the actual expected cost as an average that new green card holders should approximately be paying for healthcare?
i wonder about greencard health insurance and what that actually means? how long is it intended to be used for?
