  • Not eligible for Medicare

My spouse and me have just become permanent residents of the U.S.A. We both are just over 63 years old and not yet eligible for Medicare (Untill we live in the U.S. for 5 years and become 65 years old). We believe that PIU Bridge Plan is what we need. We still have some more questions before we decide to apply. 1. Is it possible to get only Part A coverage for the first two years and add Part B after that. 2.What will be the premium we will have to pay for "each cause deductiable of $2500 plan" (for me and my spouse). 3. Do you have an agent or broker in the San Francissco - San Hose vicinity, that we can meet and get more answers and explanations. We thank you in advance for your attention. yours

Thank you for your interest in purchasing the bridge plan.

I called your home and a lady (assume your wife) told me that you are out of the country currently.

    1. Yes, you can purchase Part B later. However, you will have to requalify again at that time.
    2. For both Part A and Part B. $1,054 per quarter per person or $3696 per year per person.
Just for Part A, the premium is 60% of the above quoted amount.
    3. You can call me, talk to me and ask me any questions that you have. Now a days, in the US, most of the work gets done remotely by phone, fax, email, internet etc. and it is not cost efficient to keep thousands of local agents all over the country. Even if you were in my town, there would be no advantage coming in person. Phone call works the best.
Our office hours are from 9 AM to 10 PM - Eastern, Monday-Saturday.

You can fill the application at https://www.insubuy.com/bridge-plan/health-insurance/

      1. Yes, you can completely liable.

Read Part 8 on page 17 at http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864.pdf

      2. If they are above 65, and after they have stayed in US for 5 years as green card holder, they can purhcase Medicare.

That is exactly why the bridge plan exists. That is a 'bridge' between now and the time the person is eligible for Medicare.

      3. Look at the products listed at https://www.insubuy.com/new-immigrant-insurance/

      4. Look at answer #2.

Please feel free to post here or contact us at (866) INSU-BUY if you have any further questions.
