Getting insurance
Hi,
My mother in law arrived just last month with a current medical condition. She needs immediate surgery to remove a mass building up in or around uterus and need surgery asap. We want to know if we can apply for ORSA . We petitioned her with the help of one of our family friends as a sponsor (Affidavit of Support).
The issue now is if we are allowed to pursue government support for her medical situation since we have an affidavit of support. In the affidavit of support form (i-134) states that the applicant may not pose as a Public Charge to the government.
If I interpreted that correctly, I believe my mother in law will not be a Public Charge.
Need your advise please....!
Otherwise... estimated medical bills is about 15-20k
