Hi there, I will be travelling to America(hopefully) in May for a period of 12 months on the J1 Visa to do my hospitality training. I am on insulin as I am a diabetic. Is there any insurance plan which will cover my basic diabetes supply cost, for example, insulin, needle, lancets and strips? My decision to undertake this program depends on the type of insurance on offer. I hope you will be able to help me out. Will be looking forward to hear from you soon. Kind Regards.

Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs.
In order to better assist you can you please provide the requirements that your sponsoring organization has for your insurance needs so that we may better determine if there is a applicable plan for coverage.
Just as a general rule of thumb, there are no plans that will cover pre-existing conditions without a waiting period of a minimum of 6 months. If you would need pre-existing condition coverage right away it is recommended that you obtain coverage from your sponsoring organization if it is available as these will typically be Long-Term domestic insurance that will offer such coverage.
Meanwhile, you can review available plans using the link listed below.
