  • J1 health insurance in the USA

Dear Sir/Ms, Hope your day is going well. I have some inquiries that I would like to make regarding purchase of J1 health insurance in the USA. For your information, my company, operates from Malaysia with a variety of students from all over the world studying in MBA in our campus. There's 46 of them and about 11 are US citizens. In April till June, they will be doing their USA trek which J1 visa would require them to purchase specific types of insurance policy. I would like to request information on insurance policy which will be suitable for them provided by your company and the quotes as well. Hope to hear from you soon.

      Dear Mr/Ms,

Thank you for the quick response. Regarding the question on the additional information, there is no additional requirement except concerns meeting J1 requirements and it covers US citizens in the US and the method of claims which covers any services while in the US.

Due to the multinationality of the 46 students and potential questions may arise, may I have a direct contact with an agent or liaison to deal closely with? Preferably an email and a phone contact number.

Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

Whoever answer the e-mail from [email protected] account are licensed insurance agents in US. We have many agents in our office and you can talk to anyone and if you send e-mail at [email protected]

You get response faster than you send e-mail to particular agent in our office because agents in our office work in different shifts.

USC can’t be on J1 visa. What is their home country? US or Malaysia? USC who lives in US we have to provide domestic short term insurance. If they are living outside US and coming to US for a short visit and again returning to their home country we can provide international insurance to them. But again they don’t need insurance that meets J1 visa requirements. J1 visa requirements is only for Non USC.

Once we get reply from you regarding their home country will be glad to suggest insurance plan accordingly.

For Non USC who is coming to US on J1 visa. We can provide group insurance to them. The product name is Patriot Exchange or Atlas Group.

Atlas Group brochure, instant purchase link, https://www.insubuy.com/atlas-group-insurance/

If you provide student age, travel date and which state do you need coverage will be glad to send you quote by e-mail also.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Thank you for getting back to me. Yes, I would definitely would like a direct contact with an agent for speedy exchange of correspondence. Would you kindly recommend one of your agents to liaise with me?

I will provide answers to the your previous questions:

          1)USC can’t be on J1 visa.
My apologies, yes they are not going back under J1 visa. They will be going back on their own capacity as US citizen.

          2)What is their home country?
The nationality of the students are 11 US citizens, 15 Malaysian, 1 Brazilian, 6 India citizens, 3 Russians, 2 Nigerians, 1 Cote D’Ivoire, 2 Australians, 2 Mexicans, 1 Pakistani, 1 Philippine citizen, 1 South African. Total= 46 students.

3)USC who lives in US we have to provide domestic short term insurance. If they are living outside US and coming to US for a short visit and again returning to their home country we can provide international insurance to them.
Currently they will be coming back to Malaysia to complete their course, hence the insurance is to cover their short term visit for their US trek from April to June. If you could possibly, provide us the alternative policies be it domestic or international insurance and recommend the best option for them during their US trek period.

          4) If you provide student age, travel date and which state do you need coverage will be glad to send you quote by e-mail also.
The student age ranges from 21 to 34 years old. The travel date is slightly complicated as they will be travelling separately which means the arrival and departure from USA will be different. However, I could be certain that they will be in the USA from April till June. Their US trek according to our school itinerary is they will travel to Boston, DC, NY and San Francisco. However, according to the flight records that the student sent, they might travelling to other states as well before or after the US trek for their personal travelling. We would like them to be cover under a health insurance at all time when they are in the USA.

I hope to hear from a direct agent personally soon and quotes from him/her also on the benefits of the policies recommended.

Feel free to ask any further clarifications.

Thank you for allowing Insubuy to assist with your insurance needs.

For the US citizens that will be traveling back to the United States we can offer a plan called Safe Travels USA Cost Saver that will cover them anywhere outside of their home country and in all 50 US states.

Safe Travels USA Cost Saver: https://www.insubuy.com/safe-travels...ver-insurance/

For the international J1 visa holders we have a few options that we can go with as far as coverage is concerned. There are a few different citizenships that we are dealing with so we will have to offer coverage accordingly.

If everyone is traveling on different dates the best course of action would be to offer coverage under the Patriot Exchange program on individual plans which would allow for different travel dates.

Patriot Exchange Program brochure & instant purchase link: https://www.insubuy.com/patriot-exch...ram-insurance/

The two individuals traveling from Nigeria as there are country restrictions these 2 individuals would go with Atlas Exchange program.

The plans will cover them anywhere outside of Malaysia to include all 50 US states. The plans will cover the new accidents and new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. The plans offered for the Non US citizens will meet the standard J visa requirements set by the US department of state.

If you would prefer a group policy for coverage we can also do different Patriot Exchange Group plans for those with the same travel dates and there are at least 5 to a group.

If you would like to discuss the benefits of any of the recommended plans please feel free to contact us.
