I am looking for J1 insurance for me (50) and J2 insurance for my
wife (49) & daughter (14). It is for the state of
Massachusetts. I will be visiting scholar at Suffolk University. I would like to know the total cost starting 03/01/2017 and ending 07/15/2017.
Below are the conditions I have to fulfill. I especially worry about the
number 5. I need to know if your insurance company is in line with that
condition.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Best regards,
. 1. Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness;
. .2 A deductible not greater than $500 per injury or illness. (A
deductible is the amount that you need to pay per injury or illness before
insurance will pay the remaining balance);
. 3. In the case of death, payment for repatriation of remains up to
$25,000;
. 4. In the case of serious illness or injury, payment of expenses
associated with medical evacuation to the home country up to $10,000;
. 5. The policy must be underwritten by an insurance corporation
with an A.M. Best rating of "A-" or above, an Insurance Solvency
International, Ltd. (ISI) rating of "A-1" or above, a Standards and Poor's
Claims Paying Ability rating of "A-" or above, a Weiss Research, Inc. rating
of B+ or above, a McGraw Hill Financial/Standard & Poor's Claims paying
ability rating of A- or above, or a Moody's Investor Services rating of A3
or above. Alternatively, the policy must be backed by the full faith and
credit of the government of the exchange visitor's home country.
