Exchange student insurance

Sir/Ma'am: My husband and I are hosting a high school exchange student from Germany. My husband would like to take him target shooting, but his insurance covers almost everything except injuries sustained while using firearms (legally or otherwise). I looked at the brochure for the Study USA-HealtCare plan (http://insubuy.com/study-usa-healthc...lth-insurance/ and http://insubuy.com/study-usa-healthc...lth-insurance/ the use of firearms is not listed in the exclusions. I have found other plans that exclude the use of firearms but do not list it in the exclusions. Does this plan cover injuries sustained during the legal use of firearms? Are there any requirements to be met (such as attendance of a firearm safety class) before any such coverage would be in place? Thank you for your time and assistance

The policy does not exclude injuries sustained from the legal use of firearms and does not list any requirements regarding firearm safety courses.

The policy will cover accidental injuries sustained from the legal use firearms. We would need to review all relevant documents (including the police report) relating to the injury, prior to making a claim determination.
