Patriot Exchange program will pay for any new medical conditions, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. It will NOT cover any pre-existing conditions, preventive check ups or maternity.

You can find complete details at https://www.insubuy.com/j1-visa-heal...ce/-insurance/ You can purchase it online over there as well.

Dear Sir/Madame, I'd like to subscribe a Patriot exchange program, since i'll be in the US with a J1-visa. I'd like to be perfectly sure I understood well. The policy is a 100/0 one with $100 deductible. Does it cover every kind of illness? For example, if i felt sick, could I go for a visit without any kind of problem? (apart $100) Is there any kind of visit that is not covered? this is very important to me, i wait for your answer before subscribing. Thank you in advance, Kind regards.

No. You will have to go with either $100 or $250 deductible.

You would need a mailing address. You can put someone else's address such as your organization.

There is no plan available in the market that is $500,000/incident. It is just $500,000 life time maximum.

You can buy $50,000/incident, or $100,000/incident. Anything higher than that would be life time maximum.

I hope that answers your questions.

    I mean $500,000/person.
I'm not sure I understand: J1visa requires at least $50,000/incident and i thought $500,000/incident would have been better.
    isn't that correct?
i understood that if i had any health problem costing more that $50,000, having a $50,000/incident policy wouldn't be enough.
i'm sorry if i ask silly questions but it's really weird to me and i want to be sure not to have any problem.
can you suggest me the best policy for 10months, the one people usually subscribe.
    thank you in advance,
    all the best

When you say $500.000, do you mean $500,000? That is Five hundred thousand or that is half a million?

If so, we have plans that has $500,000 policy maximum but that would strictly not meet the J-1 visa requirements. J-1 visa requires that you have at least $50,000/incident? In theory, what if you get sick 20 times and you need $50,000. In that case, $500,000 would not be enough.

However, some people think that if they require $50,000/incident and if they buy $500,000, hopefully they won't get sick more than 10 times and need at least $50,000 for each sickness but in fact they may get sick once or twice and may need more than $50,000 for each of those sickness, they could buy $500,000. Now, whether you can really buy the plan like that or not depends upon whether your sponsoring organization would accept the plan with this thinking or not. Therefore, please check with them first.

thank you for the answer. I was a bit confused when I asked (first impact with american health insurance might be like that )
I'd like to ask if it's possible to have a "patriot exchange program" with $500.000/person maximum and a $0 deductible.
on the website it doesn't seem to be possible but i prefer to ask.
since i have absolutely no experience with US health costs, what would you suggest as plan?
    thank you in advance,

Any of the plans listed at https://www.insubuy.com/j1-visa-heal...ce/-insurance/ would meet those requirements.
