Parents in USA

Our parents are coming on 4 months trip. I have heard before that parents after coming here in couple of weeks get bored. Due to both of us go to work and nobody to talk to around.

I would like to get your opinion and suggestions on how you dealt with this situation.
Are there any activities we can get them into so that they get engaged and feel energetic and enthusiastic? Did you come to know of any such things.
