  • insurance for Schengen Visa

I have a question about the insurance for Schengen Visa. This is my first time applying for a visa that requires insurance. The requirement says that the insurance must cover at least 30,000 EUR and the sum has to be split equally between the different benefits. Hu much do I need to pay for that insurance? And I am planning to go to Germany 2 times, in May for a week and June for more than a week. So, what should I do about the insurance with 2 different visiting duration?

    Thank you.

    Sincerely,

Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You may purchase a plan from the Schengen visa section of our website. These plans will meet the Schengen visa requirements, and provide a visa letter shortly after purchase. We have included a link to this section so you may obtain a quote. Since you are traveling to Germany, we would recommend purchasing the Patriot America plan. You will need to complete two applications, one for the one week period in May and a second for the one week period in June. If you have any questions please let us know. You may also obtain assistance by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.

      Dear Mr/Ms,

So, every time I want to go to Germany I have to buy an insurance based on how long I'll stay there?
Also, I checked on the website for visiting Germany for 9 days with policy maximum $50,000 - 65,000 costs $7.11. Does it mean I have to pay that amount and the insurance would cover $50,000 - 65,000?

      Thank you.

Yes, when traveling to Germany you must provide proof of insurance in order to obtain a Schengen Visa. To answer your second query, the policy maximum is the maximum the plan will pay in the event of an eligible medical expense. If you have any additional questions please let us know.
