Hi,
I am an Indian citizen, came to USA last month for 6 months for a visiting fellowship in Boston. I came on B1/B2 visa. Now i have to go to Italy next month, for 3 days, to attend a very important conference.
When i read the USA website of Italian consulate ( boston), it says that only permanent resident of USA can apply for Italian visa and foreigners on B1/B2 visa can't apply ( means have to go back to India to apply).
Is that true ? Can i apply for Italian visa even with B1/B2 visa. This conference is very important and i have to attend it a every possible cost. Please provide some thought, urgently.
Thanks in advance.
