Schengen visa from Italy, but point of entry is Belgium

I am a citizen of India, and am touring Europe with wife and daughter from 15 May 07 to 3 June 07.
My longest saty will be about seven days in Italy, and I have therefore been advised to obtain Schengen visa from the Italian Consulate in Bombay, India.
However, my point of entry into Schengen territory is Brussels, Belgium. Will my Schengen visa from Italy allow me to make Belgium my point of entry? Or I should I get the visa from the Belgium Consulate?

That's fine. You can enter from Belgium. You don't need separate visa.
