Married in Thailand....maaaayybe, but then what?
Have been with gf for two years and now may be the time for us both to make a move to get married.
I'll be in Thailand in a month and will pop the question then. I'll be there a total of 90 days on a tourist visa.
We've already shared a townhouse for past 2 years and she has a great job.
Pleeeeenty of history between us.
i would like to at least know the best way to go about the legal process in Thailand and the US to make sure we've covered all the bases before either of us start planning a ceremony in her native country.
We will basically still be living part of the year in Thailand as I work overseas in oil and gas exploration. But we'll also be spending quite a bit of time in the US if my work becomes more domestic.
Sorry of I'm being too vague but I'm just looking into all the process involved and can tell from some of the threads I've already seen it looks to be maddening for some to go through US and/or Thai immigration.
