        -EAD ordered end of March
-Interviewed mid-May (not approved on the spot)

              Still waiting for interview date.....

Same thing here... I had been working under the assumption that the NYC office normally takes about 10 months to get to a case. My PD is 12/21/2016, and have yet to hear about the interview schedule. If my 10-month assumption is correct, we should be nearing the point at which the interview will be scheduled. However I wouldn't be surprised if USCIS takes longer than what it used to. My EAD took about two extra weeks to be approved.

Good luck to everybody, and congrats to those of you who already got their status adjusted!

              • post interview

                Hi,

I filed dec 16 to the Chicago lockbox, i had my interview yesterday Sept 20th and was not approved on the spot (that I know of), my case changed on line on the USCIS info page the same day saying that my card is being produced. That's it right?? it means I got approved!!!!

Also if someone already got their card, how long does it takes between the approval and getting it on the mail?

                • Interview/Approval (PD 2016/12/13)

                  Marriage - I-130/I-485/I-765/I-131 (PD 12/13/2016)

Completed Interview yesterday at USCIS Washington DC Field Office (Fairfax VA). Interestingly, some USCIS offices are scheduling interviews on Saturdays due to the backlog of interviews. Biometrics were taken of the Beneficiary (photo and both thumbprints), and the interview was video recorded. The interview followed a line-by-line question/answer format, verifying the responses from the original I-130 and I-485 applications. Additional questions included how we met, travel activities, work/employment, etc. Nothing caught us off guard. At the end of the interview, the Interviewing Officer told us that she was pretty sure that she could approve our case later within the day. Within an hour of our interview, I received e-mail and SMS notifications stating that My Case Status was updated to New Card Is Being Produced.

Of note, the Interviewing Officer told us that my wife's Residence (Green Card) would be approved conditionally, for two years. Approximately 90 days from card expiration, we would need to submit an application to remove the conditions (I-751). Failing to do so would automatically subject my wife (the beneficiary) to deportation proceedings. The Interviewing Officer stated new administration has directed USCIS to begin conducting interviews for I-751 cases, and the agency is already backlogged (which is why most field offices are operating on Saturdays). These cases are already taking several months. In the event that the card expired prior to having our I-751 case approved, we would have to make an InfoPass appointment and get an extension stamp in my wife's passport. She can apply for Naturalization after three years of being a Permanent Resident; any time spent waiting on the I-751 case approval would count toward those two years.

Thank you for all the information that many of you have shared. I hope that this information helps. If there's one piece of advice that I can offer, it would me to keep sending online case inquiries about every 60 days to keep your case moving.

                  Good luck!

                      • I also got my gc in the last two weeks.

                        PD - 12/12/2016
                        Interview - 8/22/2017
                        I-485 approved - 9/17/2017
                        Card production - 9/20/2017

It has been a long wait, but with how backlogged my field office is, I am honestly happy with my timeline.
