  • traveling with insulin for diabetic patient

my mother is traveling from India to US and she is a diabetic patient. looking for advise on how to travel with 6 months of insulin supply. She will have a doctors prescription on her for the insulin. Is it ok to carry insulin in carry on luggage for the flight and does the remainder need to be checked in or do we take the entire 6 month supply as carry on?

Either way is OK, as long as she carries the proper prescription.

Many people do this all the time.

Thank you. Does this include the syringes? And can the syringes be taken both carry on and checked in baggage with insulin prescription?
