  • deep laceration -middle finger with a scar. Fingerprint problem while entering USA?

I already have a B1/B2 visa. I had a huge laceration on my middle finger till the tendon muscles and now it's healing and it has left a huge scar. Now when I go through the immigration my left-hand middle finger isn't obviously going to match with the one they took during the visa interview. I know this is not a problem if you're crossing border in a car. But will this be a problem during the immigration at the airport or will the visa officer understand after seeing my finger? Or do I need to go to the consulate and do another set of fingerprints? I'm planning to travel stateside in another 5 days.

What ended up happening with this? I am curious to see how they handled it.

      Hello,
So how did you come out in the end? I myself have a big finger injury and I would like to know how to do it, if it poses a problem for the scanner?
