  • August Filers (Concurrent Filing of I-485,I-130, I-765, and I-131)

    Hello!
I have been following this forum for a while and here is my timeline.
I am a US Citizen petitioning for my husband who overstayed his visa.

    Married:5/14/17
Mailed applications to USCIS Chicago Lockbox: 8/7/17
    Applications received by USCIS: 8/8/17
    Fingerprint fee accepted: 8/11/17
    Received text notifications: 8/14/17
I-797C for 4 applications mailed to me: 8/15/17
Received I-797C in mail: today 8/19/17

Feeling pretty pumped, although I know it's taking time. I do live in Houston, Texas and did the filing myself without assistance from a lawyer. My package was sent to the National Benefits Center from Chicago Lockbox.

Nice to meet you! I'm non-USC petitioner married to USC spouse. We submitted I-130, I-485 and I-765 to USCIS Chicago Lockbox without any help from a lawyer. Case numbers start with MSC.

Nice to meet you! It's nice to have someone with a similar timeline to compare... what state are you filing from?

          August 19th Filer

          Hi,

I am a US Citizen, i have filed AOS (I-130, I-485, I-756) for my wife and two children.
Date married - December 2011, overseas
I returned to the US in Dec 2016 and brought my wife and children back. Decided to apply for their AOS before their one year visa ran out.
Shouldn't have a problem seeing as we have been married for years and have children together, just a matter of waiting.
Have you seen the timeline on the USCIS website in Chicago? It says right now they are processing I-485's from Sep 2016 right now? So they wont even get to it for months from now? I knew it would be a long wait but wow lol.

I am applying from Phoenix, AZ. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Well when you send to the Chicago lock box it is just accepted there then sent to one of the service centers and then a field office so depending on where they send your case those are the waiting times you should consider. But it taking a while.

              MD Filer

Here's mine! I'm an F1 graduate student married to a US citizen:

              Married: 7/24/17
Mailed paperwork on 8/11/17, was delivered on 8/12/17
              Received by USCIS: 8/16/17
              - email notice of receipt on 8/17
-mail notices I-797C received on 8/21

I tried to check our case status, but the receipt numbers are not working - I guess it just takes some time.
I expect my paperwork will be sent to the Baltimore field office.

              Good luck everyone!

                Filling from Houston, TX

My USC wife and me are working on the AOS Process and this is our timeline so far:

Lawyer sent package on July 27th

Received by USCIS on July 31th

                Priority date: July 31th

                Text Messages: August 4th

                Receipts in mail:August 8th

                Biometrics Letter: August 11th

                Biometrics Appoinment: August 22th at 9 a.m

That's our timeline so far, I guess now we have to pray for a fast and smooth process to receive my EAD and eventually my Green Card! Can't wait!

***Today, checking my case online I noticed that USCIS "sent a document" to my address but wasn't delivered by the Postal Service (?) ***
                What could it be?
I only received receipts for the I-130 and the I-485 forms but never for the I-765 and it can't be my EAD because today I just went to get my biometrics.

Anysay, if somebody can answer my doubt I will highly appreciate it.

Hey I just red through your post, I can tell U if u and your spouse completed all the paper work when filing in also making sure that her taxes meet the Average poverty line in the US, the letter may probably be the approval
Of your EAD, but if she doesn't meet the average poverty line, u will eventually need co sponsor and the letter will probably be request for initial evidence. Just check your online statues and see what it says...

I'm curious to know when are we supposed to receive biometric appointment letter? My PD is 8/8 and I'm literally checking my mailbox everyday haha.

From seeing other people's times lines it seems they get their biometrics letter a couple of days after receiving their receipts in the mail. So maybe we will get it this week... crossing my fingers 🤞🏻

atleast 2-4 weeks after reception of concurrently filed documents
