I want to cancel my F1 Visa

I got my F1 Visa last month for a university but due to some family issues I won't be able to attend the university this year.
My question is-Is there any way to cancel my F1 Visa? Or there's no need for it? Will it cause any problem in the future if I apply for F1 Visa again?
