Green card time line, marriage base, F1 &a US Citizen

    we are in the same boat guys, I used to check my status everyday.
    Eventually, it will come to the day that you don't have to wait anymore.
    There is nothing to fear and worry if you have true marriage and do everything you are supposed to do.

    F1 - Green Card 👭👩*❤️*👩

    12/xx/2016: get married
    12/08/2016: mailed the package to the USCIS Chicago
    12/09/2016: Delivered (Signed by R Mercado)
    12/17/2016: returned Flash Drive (Unacceptable document)
    12/20/2016: USCIS Acceptance Confirmation I-485, I-130, I-765, I-131
    12/27/2016: received NOA 4 letters
    01/03/2017: received Biometrics Appointment Letter
    01/11/2017: Fingerprint
    ....wait....
    3/23/2017: notification- notice of ordered new card for i765
    3/27/2017: letter of approval notice i765&i131
    4/1/2017: received Combo card
    ....wait....
    7/19/17: notification- interview email notice for 8/25/17
    7/22/17: received interview letter 8/25/[email protected]
    8/25/17: called my spouse first. 15 minutes after that, call me (US citizen). Interviewed for about 30 minutes and requested for additional documents (I-20 and credit card and bank statement 3 months back).
    8/26/17: received the notice of requesting documents by mail
    8/29/17: mailed the requested documents
    8/30/17: documents delivered to mail room
    ....wait....
    9/20/17: notification - New card is being produced (cheers!! )
    9/25/17: notification - We mailed your new card
    9/25/17: received the approval letter


    Interview questions
    Spouse, F1 status (was asked more questions)
    additional questions from what I got
    - what room color
    - what brand for the TV
    - how we watch TV (cable, Netflix, stream, ...)
    - current occupation
    (There are more, but I couldn't remember all of them)

    Me (US Citizen)
    - where/when met
    - who buy the rings
    - what we do on last Sunday
    - how many room and which room we stay
    - who have master room
    - what day for the garbage pick up
    - who got up first yesterday
    - who live with us in the household
    - small or big wedding
    - spouse birthday

    After the questions, he asked to show the evidence.
    We only have joint Bank account (ch & sv), letter of beneficial for my wife, health insurance that I add my wife to mine, email that I asked the auto insurance quote to add my wife.
    The officer not even take a look at the pictures or other support documents.
    He asked for I-20 (we didn't bring) from my wife and additional last 3 month bank statements for other credit card we used. we received the letter request for the additional documents the next day.
