I have my interview 11/8. My husband has a few student loans that he is planning to refinance. Will I be able to be the co-signer or will I be able to be on loan when he refinances? He just wants to get a lower % and I want to help him do that. I know that if you want to refinance your car, you need to be a PR or citizen so I am wondering if the GC, with its conditions, is valid enough. Thank you!

Depends on which bank/credit union you want to use. My friends got a house loan even he is on H1b visa. I got my car loan from one credit union and I have been on H1b. I feel you will be fine just try different ones.
    PD: 08/30/2017

11/18/2017, Approval notices were received in mail for I-765 and 1-131. they would be valid for one year.

Well I have a car on my name so I am not worried about that but since it is a federal loan, I just wanted to ask. We are trying to pay off as many of his students loans as well can so that we can get closer to buying a home.

Entirely depends on your job, salary, credit score and institution . Some might not do it because of the conditional status some might do it. In theory its entirely possible. Even illegal immigrants and daca recipients own houses with mortgages to there names.
