Having H1B Approval for the year 2016-2017, can it be Transferred now

Hi,

Good day. I am in India, working for a company (example ABC) and my company was processing H1B for the year 2016-2017.
And My H1B petition got approved in Sep 2016. But due to some reasons, I didnt go for stamping.

Now, am getting calls from other companies. Can I say to other companies to use previous year's H1B petition to do the H1B transfer.?

Kindly provide your suggestions and comments for my situation.
