Ridiculously slowwwwww....seems to be no accountability there.

keep in mind Houston had just experienced a massive hurricane around the time most of these members are posting that they filed or hadn't received any notification. of course it's going to be slow, they're not only understaffed, but they also had to evacuate until the city was at-least somewhat dried up. be patient. it takes time.

Here are a link that lists which categories of AOS qualify for automatic employment authorization extension. c(9) is one of them. Hope this helps. Hang in there or move or hire an attorney elsewhere. Houston is too congested.

Was told today that automatic extensions only apply to certain countries... which makes about as much sense as chocolate fire truck!

The hurricane was August 2017. The office was shut down for about a week or week and a half so that's not too much of a valid excuse. Even after the hurricane they were trucking right along until March 2018 when they suddenly found out they have some cases just sitting around since 2015.

The office is slow and I am not keen on the new look of what is being processed. I liked the fact I could see the dates not a month.. and i liked seeing it was not long until our date... its just ridiculous!

Filed in Dec 2016 and still nothing. Had to renew my EAD which expired in Mar 2018. They sent me a notice which extends it for another 6 months.

I filed November 2016, my EAD also expired in March, but I guess I took too long to renew, they didn?t automatically extend it.
