  • Indian citizen born in iran - need guidance on travel

    Hi,

I am an Indian citizen born in IRAN and Have received my green card about 4 years ago. I have booked tickets to travel to India in Feb for 3 to 4 weeks. I want to know if I could travel out of the country and come back without getting stopped at POE because of the latest travel ban approved by Supreme court.

Anyone with the same situation or know of anyone experiences?

    thanks

Are you sure. Because they were stopping everyone at POE in Jan last time. I am kind of worried right now.

Make sure your GC is still valid (not expired).

        Travel.

Enter USA with a valid GC.

        See for yourself.

LPR/GC holders are not affected. You can call USCIS or DHS to verify this.

          1. US permanent residents are not affected
          2. The travel ban is based on nationality (and specifically, the passport used if there is more than one nationality), not country of birth

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.

Do USCIS answer about this situation. I thought they have not figured it out yet.
