Hi,
I was recently approved for my second O-1 while already in the US and was issued a I-797 with a paper I-94 reflecting the change of status and new validity dates. My most recent electronic I-94 still shows my old (and now expired) record, which I think is normal. However, I'm about to leave the country -- will I have to surrender my new paper I-94 at the airport like I used to do before the switch to the electronic system? Or will my departure still accurately be recorded even though my new I-94 doesn't seem to be in the electronic system?
