Hi,
I am a physician on a J1 with a home requirement. I was offered a job as an attending at my hospital and am about to start the process of obtaining an O1 visa.
My wife has been working as a teacher for the past year and a half on a J2 with EAD.
1. Can she apply for an H1B despite the home-requirement listed on my J1 (I will be on an O1) ?
2. Can I continue working as an attending on a J1 ?
3. Can she transition from the J2 to a J1 for teachers, despite the fact that she already has teaching experience in the USA ?
4. If so, what is the best way to go about that ?
