  • Who decides the port of entry on Immigrant visa?

    Hello Friends
First off, I'm a new member here (Although given how useful this forum is, I should've registered years ago).

I have a question. I currently live in Maryland as a green card holder, I've applied for my wife's I-130 and I'm still waiting for it to be out. I'm considering moving into another state, my questions are:

    - Would this effect my application or delay it in any way?
    - Once/If she gets her immigrant visa, will it have a specific port of entry? If yes, how is it decided? Is it related to where the petition is filed or where I currently live?

I'm asking all of the above because I heard that some airports are easier to land in than others, and I want to avoid any friction that might cause us trouble.

    Thank you for reading through
