L1 to L2 conversion while working on L1

Dear Community,

My wife and I have both L1 Visas with our respective US employers. I would like to work for another employer.

The only alternative I found (I have no extraordinary talent) is converting my L1 Visa to L2 as a dependent of my wife, and get a EAD.

- Is there any way to get the L2 visa & EAD and while I receive the EAD keep on working in my current job?
- If yes, how much time would it take and who can support me with that service.

First you need to change status from L1 to L2 first - then only you can apply for EAD.

So you cannot work until your EAD is approved/received.
