  • J1 - No Objection Waiver

    Hello everyone;

    Together with my wife, we submitted for a NOS waiver like 2.5 - 3 weeks ago to DOS at St.Louis, MO. We saw that the check for the fee payment of $120 was used.

    I just wanted to ask what is the process now? They asked two self-addressed letters with the first batch of documents, are we going to receive some documents back? If yes, how long that usually takes?

    Should we also start the process of a No Objection letter from my home country government or should we wait to receive our case number back?

    Really appreciate any help.

    Thanks!

    I was under the impression that you embassy is supossed to send DOS no objection letter in order for DOS to issue a NOS favorable recomendation to USCIS..... Are you sure you sent your embassy the part of the paperwork that goes to them?
