The officer did not open any of my folders.
She asked to see our passports, our marriage license. As she asked my spouse about ?how we met? she asked me to give her copies of proof of marriage. I handed her a copy of our joint bank account, health insurance, lease, utility bills.

She wrote down everything my spouse was saying.
    - where and when did we meet?
    - what was our wedding like and who was there?
    - how long did we date before we got engaged?
    - how long were we engaged before we got married?

She then asked me questions in the application itself (have i been denied a visa; have i been charged with anything etc etc)

    THEN THE BEST PART
She said our application would have been approved today but my doctor FORGOT to sign my medical exam. Once I mail the exam back she will approve my application!!!
It sucks that the doctor messed up and it makes you wonder why you pay that much money only to have them forget to sign... but then again that will be an easy fix and the end of the process is in sight. Silver linings.

            • I had my interview on a Tuesday, I called the doctor the same day and was able to schedule an appt on Thursday.
I sent the signed medical test Thursday afternoon, it got to the USCIS office on Friday and got the approval notice on Saturday! Thankfully there was not much of a delay!

                      • After I sent out the respond for the RFE again on 02/01, yesterday my case status changed from Response to RFE was received to case is ready to be scheduled for an interview (yay! finally). I sent out my i-485 June 25, 2018. it's like 7 months and when I checked my field office (Mt laurel NJ), the processing time can be 9.5 Months to 17 Months. And they are now working on cases in September 27, 2017?
So should I expect another 9 months to 17 months or maybe 2 months+ because I've already been waiting for 7 months? Any positive experience here people wanna share? Maybe timeline when you got the same case status to the time you get your actual interview scheduled? Thanks all!
