  • DV lottery winner with pregnant spouse

    Hi dears,

I won the DV lottery 2019 and I am preparing for the DS-260 form.
Currently my wife has 4 months pregnant.
Probably we may have the interview before my wife deliver the baby.
Will there be any problem after we got the VISA then deliver the baby?
Because we are not able to fill up any information in the DS-260 from for baby.
We want our newborn baby to bring together with us.

Once we got the visa then my wife deliver the baby, what should we proceed to get the visa for baby?

Thanks a lot in advance for your great advice.

    Rgds,
    SAI

If the child is born before the immigrant visa is issued to you guys, the child will need to be added to the case and get an immigrant visa.

If the child is born after the immigrant visa is issued to you and your spouse, but before you enter the US, the child can enter as an immigrant along with either of you on your first entry without needing a visa.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
