Leaving country after biometrics

Immihelp please reply.
My parents applied for re-entry permit and biometrics were done a week ago. While applying they indicated in the application that they will be waiting for the document here in the US and planning to leave once it's obtained. Now they want to leave sooner. Can I receive it here and mail it to them? Do customs need to stamp the document prior to leaving?
What do they do to change the information in the application as to where to collect the document if that's the only option?
