Another July 2018 filer here with 'new card is being produced" status. Interview was yesterday and lasted less than 10 min. I (beneficiary expat) was asked few yes/no questions from I-485 and my USC spouse was asked to confirm name, dob, etc. The officer did not ask to see any updated documents -- we had taken name changed documents, joint taxes, life insurance policies, you name it -- none and we were given on spot approval. PD was 07-13-2018.
Where's your field office? Also, were you adjusting from B1/B2 visa?

My local office is Minneapolis MN, considered one of the slowest but got done in exactly 364 days so not too shabby. I adjusted from J1 visa, married to USC.

      • Hey everyone! So I FINALLY received my interview notice letter today! My interview date is scheduled for the second week in December, so roughly a month from now. Filed from San Francisco field office and the interview is also scheduled there... so no office transfer in my case. I live in the city though so maybe that’s why. It took roughly 16 months from application submission to receiving the interview notice. I’ve updated my signature to reflect this.

Sidenote: submitted inquiry regarding my combo card renewal on 10/24/19, now waiting for response, but then USCIS rolled back the case inquiry date (mine was 4/12/19) back to 3/26/19, so I guess that doesn’t really matter anymore.

Also, my casetracker app and my USCIS account have not updated, nor did I get any email notifications regarding my scheduled interview. So it looks like that’s not the most updated way to check your case. Mine still says “case ready to be scheduled for interview”...
