Update on AOS (marriage based to USC)

    Hi Guys,

    Quick update on my application:

    PD: 13th July
    Credit Card charged: July 16
Notifications in the mail: July 18
Notification for biometrics: July 27 (for August 6 appointment)
Biometrics done: July 31 (walk in at Varick St ASC, without any problems)
    I-693 courtesy letter: August 07
"Interview Ready to be scheduled" for I-485: August 07

I'm just curious what the ready to be scheduled means and how long of a wait I should expect. I'm based in NYC (Manhattan). Things seem to be going fast, but I'm curious how long the expected waiting is going to be?

I received mine yesterday & as expected, they need proof that I am working legally & that my income is from a legal source. My USC wife is in med school so we are using my income in the I-864. I did send all the documents they are requesting in the RFIE now but my mistake was sending one copy with I-485 and not a second copy with I-864. I thought, since I-864 is technically filed with I-485, they would somehow make the connection.... alas not. Anyway, better to have received the yellow letter now than several months down the road I suppose.
I got my RFE yesterday and it's something related to I-864 as well. I think I already sent everything they requested, but I guess I will send them in again...
I think I read somewhere that you have to send in the documents with the original letter - but on the letter it says just send in with "a copy of the letter"

We were confused too but we sent the original letter and kept a copy just to be safe

misleading for sure. what they probably mean is 'you probably want to make a copy for your own record but we do want the copy that is original'. that's what i did... placed the original two sheets atop everything. they received it yesterday around noon but no official update yet.
