Does DV lottery affect my B1 visa?

I applied for DV lottery last year of which I lost, now I?m applying for B1 visa for a 4 weeks clinical rotation, I?m in my 5th year Medical school and I?m left with 1 year to graduate so I want to know if I can be denied the visa due to the DV lottery?
And secondly, do I need bank statement since I?m still a student and my Dad will be sponsoring

Not 100% sure about DV lottery, but since you have shown immigration intent, getting a B1 visa will be little difficult.
