B1 Visa Got Rejected Twice.

1st Attempt on 27th Oct 2017. Hyderabad. I submitted the form to Mumbai and booked appointment of Hyderabad. After Security Check Up, they asked me to sit separately and took my passport. After 15 mins, i got my passport and asked me to stand in Queue.

VO: Good Morning Sir, how are you?
ME: GM, I am good thanks and you?


VO:Which Company?
ME: **** *

VO: How long you are with **** *?
ME: Almost 2 months

VO: Prior to **** ?
ME: TCS

VO: How long you have been with TATA?
ME: 1 year

VO: Can I have your cooperate id card?
ME: Actually, As I am new to the company- We get ID card after 2.5 half months. Company prints ID card in one lot.
Salary slip given


VO: purpose of visit?
ME: Team Integration and Gathering training requirement

VO: What is your designation?
ME: Senior Engineer


VO: Which place you are going to visit?
ME: Wisconsin

VO: How many days?
ME: 10 days

VO: Salary please?
ME: **** *

.VO: Can I have your salary slip?
ME: Given

VO: Sorry sir you are not suitable for this time. Please apply again.


Any Suggestion? Actually, there was typo in my salary . In DS 160 , One digit was more in my salary. that's why, I guess - VO asked me for Salary Slip.



Second Attempt at Chennai 16th Nov 2018 after 1 year

ME: given

VO: Purpose of Visit?
ME: To Attend Training on New Modules and also discuss best practices of Engineering system

VO: Which Company?
ME: Said


VO: Which Place you are going to visit in US?
ME: Wisconsin

VO: How Long?
ME: 13 days

VO: What is your designation?
ME: Senior Engineer

VO: What is your Salary?
ME: **** **

VO: Are you going to give Training OR You're going to get the Training?
ME: I am going to get the training on new Modules and come back to India and support Indian users on new modules.

VO: sorry you are not qualified this time. Try next time.


Any Suggestion? This time everything was OK. Two Things got changed in my Profile after first rejection -1) Salary got increased 2) Visited two countries.
After Giving my passport, VO was reading something on screen with suspicious expression. Not sure, What went Wrong?

Its not only your interview, but several other factors are considered to finalize the result. For example:

Are you married?
Total work experience?
Why you & why not any other in the team?
Is the training worth spending money to send you to USA?

Yes, these things were part of interview or DS160 (directly of indirectly) & as I mentioned, multiple other things also come into consideration when it come to USA Visa.

You alone is the best person to identify if you really qualify for the visa.
