Query regarding the passport submission - Indian Citizen Applied Work Permit from USA

I am a citizen of India. I applied for the Canada work permit from USA and Canada Visa office requested for my passport. But I have to travel to India next week as my USA Visa is expiring.

So I wanted to know if I can submit my passport in India for stamping.
