OCI and Indian Visa

Dear All,

I have applied OCI from Chicago for my daughter on 1st Jan and it is at state 'Processing with Embassy'. We are travelling to India at Feb 6-7 and not sure if OCI card will come by that time.

Can we apply entry visa in parallel? Also if we get OCI card, do we need to do anything for cancellation of entry visa?

I have also applied for the OCI card for my daughter in Chicago on November 25 2018, and I received it today Jan 17th,
I took me appx 54 calendar days from the date of documents received at the CKGS
I think the CHicago jurisdiction is little bit late on this side,
I would advice you to apply for a tourist visa in the meantime,
